We were honoured to have been part of this Chelsea show garden with renowned designer Joe Perkins. The "Growing the Future" garden emphasised the vital connection between plants and fungi in woodland ecosystems. Inspired by mycelium networks, the garden highlighted the beauty of timber and the importance of tree planting and forest management in combating climate change.
The design included a pavilion structure, reflecting the mycorrhizal network's interaction with tree roots, creating an immersive experience that underscored the need to restore our relationship with nature. A sunken seating area was set against a rising woodland edge, complemented by a stylised meadow crafted from a future-proofed planting palette inspired by the British countryside.
The garden went on to win a Gold, after which it was relocated to The National Forest as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy tree-planting campaign for the Platinum Jubilee.
