Jake Catling : Founder & Visionary Leader
Jake’s passion for landscaping began with a part-time role before leaving school, which led him to pursue an apprenticeship. After eight years of honing his craft and gaining invaluable experience as head foreman, Jake founded The Landscaping Consultants in 2013 at the age of 24. Since then, the company has earned BALI-registered status and won numerous awards, including a BALI National Landscape Award in 2018.
Jake’s drive and ambition were recognised in 2017 when he was named one of Pro Landscaper’s ‘30 Under 30’. A hands-on leader, he continues to mentor apprentices and invests in new technologies to keep the company at the forefront of the industry. As a member of the BALI Board of Directors, Jake is also committed to improving industry standards and promoting sustainability through initiatives like Hyphae Learning and the Landscape Performance Podcast.
Jake’s mission is to empower the industry, elevate its standards, and create outdoor spaces that make a lasting, positive impact on both people and the environment.
Jordan Williams : Operations Manager
Jordan joined The Landscaping Consultants in 2016, after deciding to leave his studies in Aeronautical Engineering to pursue a passion he had discovered for creating beautiful gardens and working alongside nature. What began as a shift in direction has since shaped his career and driven him to become an integral part of the team.
Over the past decade, Jordan has had the privilege of leading and managing a wide variety of impressive projects, including RHS Flower Show gardens at Hampton Court and Chelsea Flower Show. He has worked alongside talented landscape architects, designers, and specialists on both residential gardens and large-scale builds for the National Trust.
In 2019, Jordan’s dedication and outstanding contributions to the industry were recognised when he was named one of Pro Landscaper’s ‘30 Under 30’. Today, as TLC’s Operations Manager, Jordan continues to inspire his team while creating exceptional outdoor spaces that seamlessly blend artistry with nature
