The Style and Design Garden was a contemporary interpretation of an urban orchard, owned by a modern antiquarian. Inspired by the antiquarian’s eccentric lifestyle, global travels, and passion for antiques, the garden created a stitched-together, bricolage world. The aura of this alternative orchard was enhanced by contemporary materials, cosmopolitan plants, and eclectic collector’s items, reflecting the balance between the old and new. Apple trees provided character and structure, while naturalistic grasses offered contrast to the theatrical flowers. Key elements included a water feature, timber deck, and tiled area.
